Martha Cooper and Ji Lee @ Bicycle Film Festival

MBP authors Martha Cooper (Going Postal) and Ji Lee (Talk Back) are both exhibiting in Joy Ride, an art show at the ninth annual Bicycle Film Festival. Displaying at four different Manhattan galleries before touring through the rest of the US, the show offers up a smorgasbord of past and present bike culture as documented by 39 artists. Some of bikes on display, like these ones photographed by Martha Cooper and made from salvaged parts by Bushwick kids in the late 70s, are pretty spectacular–maybe even as impressive as the ones in New Orleans Bicycles.
