Times of London Clucks About Chicken
April 1, 2009
An article in The Times of London titled “Chicken and the treasures of ancient grease” introduces readers to Chicken: Low Art, High Calorie and its author: “Siaron Hughes has taken a photographic odyssey through the low-rent, high-cal world of London’s fried-chicken takeaways to compile a book that celebrates their lurid graphic iconography.”
Hughes answers questions about her deep-fried adventures documenting these eateries and talks about interviewing the workers and sign makers, including the “Picasso of poultry signage,” one Morris Cassanova, aka Mr. Chicken.
