This Friday, Black Comix at C2E2
March 14, 2011
This Friday, comic books fans and artists are flocking to C2E2 — Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo — to revel in all the joys that a comics event has to offer (I, having never been, expect the highlights are the same as Comi-Con: DIY costumes and buckets of bad food). MBP authors Damian Duffy and John Jennings, who put together Black Comix, will be at the event hosting a panel on race and comic books, as well. So, if you get tired of jawing twelve-dollar sandwiches and ogling the superdudes and dudettes, you should check it out — it’ll be better for body, mind, and spirit. Stanford Carpenter, Ashley A. Woods, Jiba Anderson, and Turtel Onli will join Damian and John for the panel. The discussion runs from 3:30 to 4:30pm on Friday, March 18, in room 473. More info can be found at the Black Comix website.
