MBP URBAN ARTS FEST 10/3: The Aftermath

The MBP Urban Arts Fest has come and gone, with an estimated 800 attendants throughout the day! This past Saturday in Bushwick, Brooklyn hosted a bevy of artists, musicians, shoppers and partiers, despite the daytime rain. Our champion graffiti and mural artists spent hours in the storm working on and finishing their pieces, much to the event attendants’ delight, and the finished products are jaw-dropping. The vendors in the artist marketplace arrived with an array of art, jewelry, crafts and accessories that wowed everyone.
Many thanks go out to the people who donated their time, goods and services to make the event happen: Castle Braid, Art for Progress, Mom’s Food Concessionaires (an extra-special thanks for being so cool when some idjuts tagged up their truck), Kevy Paige Catering, Bags for the People, Alex and Caleb of Mighty Tanaka (who beautifully curated the MBP galleries and saved the day when we ran out of beer), BrooklynStreetArt.com, Bushwick Music Studios, Brooklyn Brewery, Union Beer Distributors, Bodega in Boston (who sent us the last of their Montana paint supply when we needed it last minute), Mimobots, AIAIAI, Cafe Bustelo.
The amazing talents who created our murals and contributed to the graffiti walls, including: JMR, Destroy & Rebuild, Royce Bannon, Abe Lincoln Jr., Chris and Veng from RobotsWillKill, Project Super Friends, Infinity, Indigo and Mania, CR, El Celso, Ellis Gallagher, Billi Kid, Remo Camerota, Jesus Saves, KEO, Repo, Doc, Fly, Spot.
And to our awesome performers who hit the stage and rocked the house even though the rain kept almost everyone indoors: iLLspokinN and Spokinn Movement, Termanology, Cormega, DJ GSUS187, KRTS, Michael Brian, True2Life, Goodomens, Greenberet Team, Quan, William B. Johnson’s Drumadics.
