LE GUN is an art collective and magazine established by graduates from London’s Royal College of Art’s department of Communication Art & Design. Since the 2004 inception of LE GUN, the group’s core – Neal Fox, Matthew Appleton, Bill Bragg, Chris Bianchi, Alex Wright and Robert Greene – has produced four issues of the vibrant, over-sized publication, not to mention countless projects in London that have garnered attentions from media outlets like Eye and i-D. And since we at MBP love this kind of stuff, we’re going to be releasing the first three issues of LE GUN next year exactly as they first appeared, except bound in one impressive single book.

Now, LE GUN’s very own brilliant and creative Neal Fox has an exhibit at the Daniel Blau Gallery in Munich, opening September 10.

From the release:

Daniel Blau Gallery is pleased to announce its second opening with young London arist Neal Fox, titled “2000 Light-Years from Home”, on the 10th of September 2009.

A shining entity in London’s artistic and bohemian underground, Neal Fox uses his vivid imagination and masterly drawing skills to take the viewer on a phantastical journey of composite hyper-realities forged from beatnik tales, cock-and-bull mythology, occultic symbolism and drunken tales of debauchery.

After last year’s exhibition “The Invisible Republic”, which included some of his largest and
most spectacular ink-drawings, Neal Fox has again outdone himself for the upcoming show which will feature his largest works to date.

A ten metre long ink-drawing forms the centrepiece of the exhibition and takes the viewer
on a seemingly never-ending journey into the surreal world that surrounds Joseph Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness”.

The opening of the exhibition will be held on September 10 from 6-9 p.m., in the presence of the artist.
