Classic Art + Graffiti: Cool results from Worth1000.com’s ‘Ren 2′ Image Manipulation Contest

At MBP, we think street art deserves to be showcased just as prominently as fine art (as you can see from our many urban art books, like Bay Area Graffiti, Graffiti Japan, Protest Graffiti Mexico: Oaxaca, etc.), and Worth1000.com agrees. The image manipulation and contest website concluded Graffiti Ren 2 (the second in the contest series) a few days ago, described as “classical art, improved with spraypaint” – and is just as it sounds – an open call to artists to submit their best manipulations of some classic art pieces with graffiti.
