Lila Downs visits MBP!

Ok, so cool things really do happen in NYC: Yesterday I had the special honor of welcoming international songstress Lila Downs to our offices! She was here signing a few copies of Protest Graffiti Mexico: Oaxaca, for which she wrote a truly inspired introduction. (If you haven’t read it or are unfamiliar with the protests [and tragedy] that happened in Oaxaca, please pick up a copy of the book or at least school yourself with some Wiki-knowledge.) The ever-charming Lila (with her husband/musical partner Paul, a notable talent in his own right) shared stories and signed books while I tried my hardest to remain calm in front of two geniuses.
